Got the Astro Junior Series paddle for my 8-year-old and it's been a great fit. The 6.0-6.2 oz weight is light enough for him to swing comfortably, and the 4" handle circumference works well for smaller hands. The 11mm polypropylene honeycomb core with graphite surface gives a decent pop without being too powerful for a beginner. He loves the Astro design, which made him excited to actually use it. Solid starter paddle for kids learning the game.
